THE MAN BEHIND THE LIBRARY

Andrew de Real, brain behind the Library’s success and a mentor to most popular stand-up comedians and artists, graduated from Adamson University with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting.
During college days he indulged his free time into theater arts, joining workshops in Bulwagang Gantimpala, Nayong Pilipino and Adamson University Renaissance Universal Playhouse (AURUP) where he became artistic director and Vice President of the said Theater group.

Six months after leaving his

college life, he bravely opened The Library with a vision of helping aspiring artists and comedians.

He writes the comic scripts and directs it himself. Using his expertise in theater and business, The Library grew from a small box to a legitimate entertainment venue and Andrew (fondly called “Mamu”) gained respect from the business and entertainment world.

He has done so many successful comedy shows such as Ai-vita (featuring Ai-Ai delas Alas), “Animasia” (a comic spoof of Walt Disney characters), “Big Nose at the Big Dome” (first major concert of Mr. Allan K at Araneta Coliseum), and the longest running comedy show, “Si Nura at si Velma” which launched the career of Allan K and Lenard Obal. He was also the head writer of the stand-up comedy show in GMA 7’s “Comedy Central Market” and was assigned the task by Eat Bulaga’s “EB Babes” as the “mystery judge”.

As a stage actor he acted on several plays like “Pagsabog ng Liwanag”, “Enkuwentro”, “Daplis”,
“Bayaning Huwad”, and the controversial play, “Room 69”.

Despite all accolades and achievements Andrew remains humble and continues his goal in honing aspiring talents and stand-up comedians.
